Westover Group, part of the UK’s largest network of motor dealerships, is set to attend the long-running Corfe Mullen Carnival this Saturday (June 8).
Established in 1967, Corfe Mullen Carnival has been a popular event in the village, growing year on year to help raise funds for important local charities and community organisations. As a Dorset-based firm with a showroom in the village which represents Dacia, the Westover Group has supported the Carnival for many years and in 2019 will have an even bigger presence at the event. The Group is set to display vehicles from five brands it represents in the county – Nissan, Toyota, Kia, Jaguar and Land Rover.
The Westover Group will also be providing the event with the latest Nissan X-Trail seven-seater which will be used to escort the Poole Town Crier, David Squire, who will be leading the main carnival procession. The town crier will stand out of the SUV’s sunroof and guide the procession of carnival floats through the village to the Corfe Mullen Recreation showground.
Mark Whittam, group operations director at the Westover Group, says: “The carnival is a popular annual event in this village and we’re pleased to have supported it for many years. As a group, we believe it is important to support events in our local communities. By providing support it gives people the opportunity to get up close with a wide variety of the latest vehicles out of the usual showroom environment.”
Established in 1923, the Westover Group operates from 28 locations across Dorset and Wiltshire and represents 15 vehicle manufacturers – Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Dacia, Fiat, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lotus, Nissan, Renault, Skoda and Toyota. The motor firm is now part of the Hendy Group.
