CM5km and Junior 1 mile Fun Run
Description
The Corfe Mullen Carnival 5k and Junior 1 mile run is a fun and integral part of the Carnival programme of events which has raised over £20,000 for local good causes since its introduction in 2004.
This year's event will take place on Tuesday 13th June and will be held at the recreation ground in Corfe Mullen.
The hilltop location of the course provides a stunning visual backdrop for the race with views stretching many miles over the Dorset countryside.
The event is open to participants of all levels of fitness from occasional jogger or fun runner to the more dedicated club runner, but most importantly this is intended to be a fun event.
The Junior one mile run is open to entrants aged between 8-13 years and will start at 7:00 pm, entry fee £3.
The Adult 5K starts at 7:30 pm and is open to entrants aged 13 years and over and will see runners complete two laps of the recreation ground course, entry fee £5.
Prizes will be awarded for the first, second and third male, female, boy and girl entrants home in each event and a trophy will also be awarded to the first non-club runner resident of Corfe Mullen in each category.
There is ample parking adjacent to the course and all proceeds from this event will be divided amongst the Carnival's chosen good causes for 2022.
