The 2nd Corfe Mullen Scout Group is a thriving scout group catering to boys, girls and young adult's aged between 6 and 18 from Corfe Mullen. The scouts get involved in a wide range of activities from cooking, archery, climbing, abseiling, rafting and kayaking to summer camps.
All of the scout group sections, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, also take an active role in community events such as the Corfe Mullen Carnival, St Georges Day parade and Remembrance Day. As well as having lots of fun scouting helps young people develop the skills they need to thrive in life, contribute positively to society and become responsible citizens. It builds self-confidence, resilience and independence through promoting teamwork, service and respect for others. Playing a vital role in enriching the lives of young people and strengthening the social fabric of our community.
Scouting is open to all, regardless of background or ability. Our inclusive approach promotes diversity and equal opportunity to all children and young people.
Corfe Mullen Scouts is run on an entirely voluntary basis and is in need of more adult helpers and support to carry on their work. We currently have over 80 young people aged 6–18 from Corfe Mullen meeting on a regular basis and 23 adult volunteers and 7 trustees who give their time freely each week.
We are currently fund raising to help maintain the Scout HQ to enable the group to have a safe and secure place to meet.
