After the snow had melted...

The rescheduled Selection Evening took place on Saturday 24 March. It was an enjoyable and successful evening with 7 boys and 13 girls hoping to become the Prince and Princess.

The successful entrants were:

  • Prince - Benjamin Jackson, aged 10, who goes to Lockyer's Middle School
  • Princess - Morgan Summerson-Watson, also aged 10 and goes to Lockyer's Middle School
  • Prince Attendant - Bailey Evans, aged 7, who goes to Henbury View School
  • Princess Attendant - Georgina Brindley, aged 9, who goes to Lockyer's Middle School
The candidates were interviewed by the Rector, Rev. Jane Burgess.

The difficult job of judging the boys and girls fell to a panel of representatives from this year's supported charities. While the judges were deliberating, each of the charities gave a short description of their work and their needs.

Jason Spiers from our sponsor, Richards Estate Agents, announced the results, and David Squire, the Poole Town Crier, presented trophies to the winners, who also received certificates and a bouquet of flowers. The presentations took place against a background of balloons provided by sponsor, Cardberry Parade. Each entrant received an Easter Egg at the end of the evening!
